Premiering Jewel Runaway Bay Beach Aimbridge Hospitality, having done so well with the adults-only The Jewel Dunn's River Beach Resort & Spa in Ocho Rios, recently doubled their presence in Jamaica with the rebranding of the all-inclusive Jewel Runaway Bay Beach and Golf Resort. The company didn’t miss a beat, and began receiving guests during the rebranding process. Travel agents will be familiar with the resort in its previous incarnation as the Breezes Runaway Bay Beach and Golf Resort. Agents can expect to see the institution of many family features for guests by the end of 2012. "The addition of another property to the Jewel Resorts brand strengthens our presence in the Caribbean resort market," said Dave Johnson, President and CEO of Aimbridge Hospitality. "We look forward to converting the Breezes Runaway Bay Resort into a four-star family-friendly resort." The all-inclusive, 266-rooms and suites Jewel Runaway Bay is tucked away on more than 22 lush oceanfront acres on Jamaica's famed North Coast. Each room and suite features private balconies overlooking tropical gardens or a pool. Guest rooms have been refurbished with new and reconditioned case goods and all new textiles. Rooms also have wireless internet access, with fee applying. There are seven room categories at Jewel Runaway Bay:
The Plunge Pool Oceanfront One-Bedroom Butler Suite occupies the top room category position. Here your clients will receive over-the-top pampering plus dramatic direct ocean vistas, a large balcony and their own plunge pool and Butler. A magnificent 4-poster king bed graces the bedroom, which has hand-carved Jamaican furniture. The salon has a seating area and a mini-bar stocked and replenished with water, beer, wine and a premium liquor package with mixers. Your clients will also receive 24-hour room service, plush his and hers robes with slippers and their own personal butler available for in-suite check-in, unpacking and pressing, nightly turndown, drawing a scented bath, arranging for Radiant Spa bookings and handling room service. The resort’s all-inclusive experience incorporates all meals and snacks at a variety of restaurants and bars. Aquamarina Beach Grill serves sandwiches, burgers and wraps; Coral Café offers buffet breakfast/lunch/dinner; Moonstone by Vincenzo presents fine Italian cuisine from the North & South regions of Italy, with indoor and alfresco dining available; Jade Samurai serves exotic gourmet specialties from the Far East, with teppanyaki-style entertainment at set seating times; Starlight Grill offers vegetarian and Mongolian Stir-fried cuisine and Golden Saber Sushi features fresh and creative sushi and sashimi. Jewel Resorts’ signature exclusives will also be included, such as: swim-up pool concierges, evening Dive-In Movies (complete with Jamaica Jerk Popcorn), dining under the stars and Gem of the Day (the resort's signature cocktail concoctions). Jewel Runaway Bay has three freshwater pools, including a beachfront infinity edge pool with a swim-up bar; four tennis courts; a game room with ping pong and pool tables; a fitness center with both equipment and aerobics classes; a water sports operation center that offers snorkeling, ski boats, windsurfing, kayaking and a Gold Palm 5 Star P.A.D.I. Scuba Diving facility. The resort’s Radiant Spa offers a variety of spa services and packages. Jewel Runaway Bay has meeting space for up to 200 people, perfect for banquets and private receptions. They can handle even larger groups outside. The resort also offers complete wedding services and packages, including a "complimentary wedding" package.
The Jewel Runaway Bay Beach and Golf Resort is about a 1 hour 20 minutes drive from Montego Bay's Sangster International Airport. Transfers from and to the airport are included. Guests at one Jewel resort can sample the charm at another, since it’s convenient to travel between The Jewel Dunn's River Beach Resort & Spa and the Jewel Runaway Bay Beach and Golf Resort.
